The geometric open shell design brings its weight down to 69g, and it feels a lot more nimble than the Zephyr. However, the mouse is quite large, which means that certain grip styles such as the fingertip grip work better for those with bigger hands. It is a safe, versatile shape, suitable for almost any grip style. With a flat profile and slight comfort grooves along the sides and mouse buttons, it feels much better in hand than the Zephyr. It's now got a far more comfortable shape that's very similar to the Glorious Model O. The Zephyr Pro fixes a lot of the issues faced by its predecessor, and the improvements are significant. One year later, Zephyr Gaming has rebranded to Marsback, and their new mouse, the Zephyr Pro, is here for a second shot at active cooling in a gaming mouse. Unfortunately, the mouse's shape didn't feel the best in hand, and the fan was noisy and buzzed frenetically when using the mouse. It had a built-in fan, blowing a cool breeze against your hand to banish sweaty palms. Last year, I reviewed a quirky prototype of a gaming mouse called the Zephyr. The Marsback Zephyr Pro Gaming Mouse is an excellent revision of the last Marsback Zephyr mouse, but it falls short of being great. And if you're not worried about sweaty hands, there are plenty of other options to entertain. It's just that fan, which might be a selling point for some, was totally unnecessary for me.

It's got great software that's simple to use, and tons of customization options. It's aesthetically pleasing, and it feels good to use, whether you're on a mousepad or not. The Marsback Zephyr Pro Gaming Mouse is a solid mouse overall.

For full price, I think there are better mice to go for, but if you're looking for a distinctly unique mouse with a distinct gimmick, the Marsback Zephyr Pro might be right for you. But even if the specs of the Marsback Zephyr Pro might be great on paper, the mouse isn't as ergonomic as other gaming mice. I normally use the Roccat Aimo which features 12 buttons, so the loss of functionality was noticed. And while it has eight buttons, only six can really be adjusted. Without the fan gimmick, the mouse works just fine on its own. But I personally didn't need it at all, and it was sometimes distracting. I understand the application, and there might be some users who'll truly appreciate the cooling blast from the mouse. I found myself just turning the fan off most of the time. The single button on the bottom of the mouse only turns it on and off, and there's no RPM indicator for fan speed on the mouse or in the software.

Even worse, I found that the skin on my right hand (which actually was burned not too long ago) would become dry after using it for a while, so I found myself just turning the fan off most of the time. My hands have never been so hot that I've needed a fan directly on them, nor do I live in a particularly hot climate. My major complaint with the Marsback Zephyr Pro is that I personally didn't need the fan.
